How to Clean Hard Water Stains from chrome and Stainless Steel EASY

Have spots on your faucets or showers? This little trick I learned was self taught in my window cleaning days. When window cleaning you will find glass that is etched from minerals in water so this same process will work on shower glass doors as well. 

1. Spray cleaning solution over stainless steel

2. Use ultra fine 0000 steel wool and scrub clean with the grain of the stainless steel fixture. Vertically or horizontally

3. Dry with microfiber towel

4. Repeat as necessary until desired results are achieved

You can also try to remove hard water with an abrasive cleaner and a sponge. It will clean, the stainless steel, however it will take longer and may not remove all of the hard water spots 

Will Vinegar or steel wool damage the chrome?

The short answer is no, but when doing any task on your home it is good practice to test products on a small portion of the surface first before proceeding with the rest of the cleaning.
